the short version, written like a human

Privacy stuff.

I keep this page short and readable, the way I'd want to read it myself. Here's what gets collected when you visit, what doesn't, and who else can see anything.

Who runs this site

It's me, Tian Treb. If you want to ask anything about your data, the quickest way to reach me is via my LinkedIn or by booking a call. Real human on the other side.

What I collect

Page views and traffic patterns via Google Analytics 4. When you visit, a small Google script logs the page you saw, how long you stayed, which campaign or referrer sent you, and aggregate device/geo info. It sets cookies. I use this to figure out what's working on the site and which ad campaigns are doing the most. You can opt out with Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, an ad blocker, or your browser's tracking protection.

Page views and engagement via the Meta (Facebook) Pixel. A small script tells Meta you were here, and fires a "lead" event when you click the calendar booking link. It sets cookies. I use this to occasionally retarget visitors with content on Facebook or Instagram. You can block it with an ad blocker, browser tracking settings, or by opting out of personalised ads in your Meta account.

Anonymized session recordings and heatmaps via Microsoft Clarity. Clarity records your mouse movements, scrolls, and clicks on the page so I can see where people drop off and what catches their attention. Personal info (anything you'd type into a form, sensitive text) is masked by default. Recordings are tied to a random session ID, not to you. I use them to make the site better, never to identify anyone.

Standard server logs. My host (Netlify) keeps the basics: IP address, page requested, browser type, timestamp. These exist for security and debugging. I don't dig through them for analytics.

Anything you choose to send me. If you book a call via the calendar link, Google Calendar handles that and collects whatever it needs for the booking. Same if you email or DM me directly. I treat what you send as private.

What I don't collect

No Mixpanel. No Hotjar. No fingerprinting. No selling your data, ever, to anyone. I don't share data outside the services listed below. The Spotify widget on the homepage only shows what I'm listening to, not anything about you.

How I use what I collect

Three things: making the site better, occasionally retargeting ads to people who've visited (via Meta), and figuring out which pages people actually read.

Third-party services in play

Your rights

You can ask me what data I have on you, ask me to delete it, or ask any other question. The fastest way is to DM me on LinkedIn.

If you want to stop the Meta Pixel from firing on future visits, the cleanest options are: turn on your browser's tracking protection, install an ad blocker, or adjust your ad preferences inside your Meta account. Doing any of these will not change what you see on this site.

Changes

If I update this policy, I'll bump the date below. Nothing fancy.

Last updated May 29, 2026. Added GA4, Microsoft Clarity, and engagement event tracking.
